What is Runabout?

  • Runabout provides curb-to-curb transportation to eligible disabled people of all ages in the Vallejo area, as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1991 (ADA).
  • Runabout is for people who, because of their disability, are unable to ride Vallejo Transit buses.

How is Runabout service provided?

  • Runabout operates 16 passenger vans which are able to carry up to 4 wheelchairs at a time.

  • Runabout is a "shared ride" service.

  • Runabout arrives at your door within 15 minutes of the time you requested, and transports you, along with other riders, to your desired destination as quickly as possible.

Who is eligible to ride Runabout?

  • A person with a disability which prevents them from riding regular Vallejo Transit buses are eligible to ride Runabout. Also, persons already determined to be eligible under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by another transit agency may ride Runabout.
